In the Ever

It’s been a quiet few weeks on the adoption front. Court has been closed in Ethiopia for training so there hasn’t been much to share. Then yesterday, TWO updates! We received our first update from our case worker. Our dossier is IN Ethiopia and ready to be submitted when court opens next week. Hooray!! We’re just waiting patiently for that court date and praying for favor in this next chapter of our adoption journey. It’s hard to believe that we’re getting closer to travel time. SO ready to meet our daughter!

We also received an update from the director of YWAM Ethiopia who is in Ethiopia right now visiting a number of the orphanages. She was able to visit the orphanage our sweet Church-ling is at and delivered the picture and gift we sent for our little one. You guys, our daughter got to see a picture of her forever family for the very first time! Unbelievable. How amazing that she’s seen us! Joy (the Director) said that our little lady “liked to look at the picture of her family and hug her pillow pet, too.”  I guess the pillow was a big hit with the other kiddos at the orphanage and our darling daughter willingly shared her pillow with everyone. What a honey. Just this morning Becky (from YWAM Ethiopia) forwarded on some pictures Joy took of baby Church during her visit at the orphanage. Oh my heart, she’s GORGEOUS! I about died seeing her snuggle up to her little pillow giraffe. This momma is beyond ready for our sweet baby girl to be in my arms. Words cannot even begin to express how excited I am for the day I get to hold her. Soon. Hopefully, soon.
